When did your "morning" sickness end?

Of course, we know it doesn't just happen in the morning, but when did it end for you? I'm 15 weeks pregnant and still feeling very sick – but maybe a tiny bit less than I did 2 weeks ago. In my pregnancy yoga class, many women said they didn't feel better until 16 weeks. How about you?

Had HG both pregnancies. First I stopped throwing up at 19 weeks (medicated though) second pregnancy I stopped at 38 weeks just before my c section and was on medication throughout pregnancy. It's awful you have my sympathy

Hi @esgill

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I’m currently 23+4 and I found that my morning sickness went around the 14 weeks mark. I had HG too so wasn’t fun. That being said, I’ve had a few days of being unwell recently. Yesterday I threw up around mid day (just liquid really) after I took a pregnancy vitamin, I think the Iron may have set me off. Then two weeks ago I had a day of throwing up and becoming v dehydrated and thought I was getting cystitis (I’m prone to it). I also had a temperature so when I called the maternity assessment unit they told me to come in to check me over. So went to St Thomas’ at midnight (eek)They put me on drip (first time ever) and it felt amazing afterwards.

Can you drink water enough atm? I love fresh mint tea, very refreshing and soothing.

ComeTheFuckOnBridgett · 05/04/2023 17:18

All the way through.

ThatsGoingToHurt · 05/04/2023 17:19

My stopped at 16 weeks. Then horrific heartburn kicked in at 18 weeks!

Sapphire387 · 05/04/2023 17:20

Started tailing off around 14 weeks, still get it occasionally at 20 weeks but hardly much, maybe once a week.

NancyJoan · 05/04/2023 17:20

Stopped actually being sick around 20 weeks, but felt sick every single day until the day I woke up to my waters breaking.

fluffyreindeer · 05/04/2023 17:21

Congratulations OP and sorry you're feeling so sick - it's miserable! I remember being at your stage and feeling like it would never end. I then woke up one day around 17 weeks feeling absolutely brilliant (of course, as @ThatsGoingToHurt said, then the heartburn kicked in!) Fingers crossed it eases up for you soon.

kitty1993 · 05/04/2023 17:21

16weeks and then I got covid at 17 weeks which was really unpleasant! 20 weeks onwards I felt good until 35 weeks and then you just feel so big and heavy all the time

MotorwayDiva · 05/04/2023 17:25

When I went into labour! People told me to eat small amounts constantly which helped slightly. Ginger doesn't help and the smell of it even now, ten years on makes me nauseous.
Try a few different foods, take pregnancy vitamins. I was really stressed but DD was born healthy weight.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 05/04/2023 17:35

39 weeks first time - I was still puking the morning of my c-section.

24 weeks the second time.

Sorry...

TakeMe2Insanity · 05/04/2023 17:52

I never vomited but constant nausea stopped around 24 weeks.

TheBirdintheCave · 05/04/2023 23:32

19 weeks.

S72 · 06/04/2023 00:13

It didn't for me. I was still vomiting during my c-section and only felt normal again a few hours after my womb was baby free. Had sickness/nausea throughout the entire pregnancy. It was awful.

I have not had a second child after going through that.

DramaAlpaca · 06/04/2023 00:25

For me it was 20 weeks in all three of my pregnancies.

Unavailable101 · 06/04/2023 00:42

When I finished work (early) and was able to sleep / rest and eat little and often.

K37529 · 06/04/2023 01:26

When the placenta emerged.

nicetoseetgesunsout · 06/04/2023 03:41

About 3 mths with my daughter. Used to be sick at the train station on my way to work and being paranoid that the other commuters thought I was hungover!
Didn't have it at all with my son.
My late MIL told to put a potato in my bed.....I did and it seemed to work. Bizarre but true. She was Irish, perhaps it's a thing there as my mum had never heard of it.

LadyJ2023 · 06/04/2023 03:44

It never ended 4 babies sick til they were born..hated it

Sunnysunbun · 06/04/2023 03:54

Sorry to tell you this but it stopped after I had the baby.

Teafor1please · 06/04/2023 04:35

About 16 weeks and if not, you could ask for medication if you want?

Ponderingwindow · 06/04/2023 04:47

I threw up every single day until dc was born.

TheAustralian · 06/04/2023 05:58

🙋‍♀️ I also had morning sickness right up till my contractions started and I was bearing down

letsmakepopcorn · 06/04/2023 06:21

Mine went away for a bit during the end of second trimester and gave me a break for couple of weeks and then came back full force until the birth.

bk1981 · 06/04/2023 07:27

Mine started to improve after 13 weeks and stopped completely 🙏at 20 weeks. Hope yours is better soon.
