Hey Everyone,
I am 6 weeks 2 days pregnant today. My last pregnancy, I miscarried early week 5 and have naturally been apprehensive. My doctor took Hcg levels one week ago for this pregnancy and levels came back at 1960 which I was assured was good/normal.
I took clearblue digital tests that went from 1-2, 2-3 and 3+ at the times they should have. Today I wanted to take another to make sure I still had the 3+ to check hcg hasn't dropped.
I was surprised and upset to see 2-3. I didn't drink too much water, I had not urinated for 3 hours previous to taking the test but did take the test in the middle of the day. The test contradicts itself by saying you can take it any time of day after a missed period but then also says test in the morning for accurate results.
My partner went straight out and got another test and this time I peed in a cup instead of peeing directly on the stick and took the test again to my relief, seeing a 3+.
I'm putting up this thread as I couldn't find the same reassurance online or it happening to anyone else.
If you're feeling really nervous and the test has dropped for you too, test first thing in the morning but by urinating in a cup and not on the stick directly and hold it in for 20 seconds. Your doctor can take a blood test if you just tell them you are really nervous you do not have to have previously miscarried.
