Hi I’m 34 weeks and constantly leaking small amounts of something I don’t notice it coming out only when I go to the toilet and see little tiny wet patches in my underwear not much literally tiny droplets, I had a scan a few days ago so I’m thinking if it was amniotic fluid they would’ve noticed on the scan? As it’s been happening for a couple of weeks now so I’m thinking it’s most likely pee as my baby is always on my bladder

Yeah I went for a growth scan at 40 weeks and they noticed my fluid was low so I was induced.

Although expect they'd only see it if your levels had dropped sigificantly. Think the bigger issue would be infection risk if they've ruptured. Probably best to speak to your midwife.

They can. I had a c-section at 34 weeks for reduced movement linked to reduced amniotic fluid (but I wasn't leaking).

@alittleadvicepls thats good to know! Must be pee then! I suspect if it was amniotic fluid the leaking would be constant which it isn’t I do leak a lot but not constant lol

Yes. They can also do a swab to check the fluid.

Kentlassie · 01/04/2023 11:21

Sorry should have said, swab to check that the fluid is.

It could be discharge or urine. Both are quite common. If you think it could be your waters please get checked as there is a risk of infection that increases the longer it’s left
