How far away from labour am I?

Pregnant on my second(38 weeks). was induced at 38 weeks on my first so never got to experience going into natural labour.

The past few days I've been getting period like cramps, lots of Braxton hicks and a feeling of baby being 'very low down'. Very little appetite and some vomiting.

I know I'm not in labour because this has been coming and passing and the braxton hicks aren't painful or regular.

But is this a sign that labour could be near or is this how it feels near the end?

It doesn't really sound like labour is imminent at the moment to me, think you're probably alright for tonight at least

I wouldn’t say these are signs of imminent labour but it does sound like baby is getting into position. Look out for loosing mucus plug/bloody show, loose bowel movements, with my second the nesting instinct kicked in massively (I was scrubbing the stairs 😂). Even with them signs it can still be days or even a week or more.

Those aren't standard signs that labour is close, it sounds like baby is in position though!

Ok, thank you all.
