Have just got off the phone from the early pregnancy asses unit, trying to orgaise an early scan-no joy, although I have got one in 2 weeks time.
I am driving myself bonkers with thoughts that baby has already dies (as has been the case in the past) I no longer feel pregnant, or am I making myself? i dunno I am so convinced that ive lots this baby already.
no pain other than normal achy pains, no bleeding-yet.

PS been bleeding too since 5+4, implantations bleed, I did it with my DS2 till 20 weeks too. Please push for a scan xx

HiJulezboo-I would so love to believe that this could be the case for me too and that while it is so sad that you have lost one twin, you have another to hope for.
I really dont htink this is my sit tho as when they did the blood test they said if it is high enough we will repeat the test to look for a drop or rise in the levels but apparently it was so low that they thought i had my dates wrong, i didnt it is just a repeat of what happened last time, the baby died withing days of conception but i didnt start to loose it until week6-7. when they tested my wee to confirm pregnancy it came back boarderline, so the levels have been dropping for some time.

Julezboo · 18/02/2008 21:23

Im so sorry Imum but please push for a scan. I know how hard it is to be able to believe good of pg when you have lost so many times sucks teh excitement right out of you.

{{{hugs}}}

iMum · 18/02/2008 21:32

Julesboo-do you really think it could be the case for me tho, considering the borderline pregnancy test-surely if i had concieved twins i would have high hcg levels in my urine despite the misscarriage?
anyway I will clearblue test again in a few days and depending on the results.....who knows-Julezboo I so want to believe that it could be true for me too, and it is something that crossed my mind before you even posted but I fear i am just setting myself up for another fall.

Just sending you my thoughts at this time - I can only imagine how disappointed you must be. Good luck with the next cycle.

iMum · 19/02/2008 09:00

Well thats it then I spose. Just got off the phone from the EPU and have been told there is no way this pregnancy could still be ok the levels were so low, she said class this as a late period, the egg got fertilized but never implanted.
try again next month if you feel up to it she said.
I explained that I had been told to retest in a week, but she said dont bother-dont waste my money.

So thats a definate no then!

Imum what was your levels? If they are over 25 then they need to test them again. I dont want to get your hopes up and it must be so distressing for you.

I had bleeding with my DS he turned 1 on saturday and the bleeding went through till 20 weeks.

Either way hon they should be scanning you to check whether you have mc'd and everything has gone so you dont get infection.

thinking of you x

iMum · 19/02/2008 10:49

Well the levels were around 12 she said, so very low.
She said just treat it like a period and try again in a few weeks.
I would be inclined to believe you as I have still got "morning sickness" but really, in my heart I know im just hoping beyond hope. I'll be ok, this little one didnt make it but give me a few weeks and I'll be pregnant again and the whole worry game starts afresh!

So sorry for your losses. The hormones take a while to sort themelves back out again so the continuing sickness is one of natures cruel tricks.
Are they investigating why youve had so many MC?

Julezboo · 19/02/2008 12:20

Im sorry imum i really am, i do know what your going through. Have you had any tests at all ?

LOVEMYMUM · 19/02/2008 16:45

I'm sorry iMum.

Why don't you and DP book a nice holiday (if finances and time allow) and try to escape from all this? Take time to recover.
