Would you call the midwife?

I'm 30 weeks and have had upset stomach for 2 weeks but managing to keep water down however today I've been sick a lot, woke up and my left side of my face is swollen including my eyelid.

I can barely keep my eyes open I feel exhausted and my legs hurt like I've been running.

I don't want to be told to go to maternity if I have a bug but it's been going on so long now 😩

Where I am (London), our first contact point past 16 weeks is the maternity triage at the hospital. If I were you I'd definitely call them. Otherwise you can try calling NHS 111 as well (make sure they are aware that you are pregnant) and see what they say. All the best and hope you feel better soon!

Hopefully you’ve already called your midwife, but in case you haven’t facial swelling and sickness can be signs of preeclampsia so you should definitely get yourself checked out.

I asked the midwife and she said with preeclampsia swelling it happens suddenly and it’s not a slow gradual thing. It’s worth going to the maternity unit to be checked just incase.
