High Nt and fluid on heart

i wondered if anyone has any positive experiences similar to ours as we are trying to stay strong and finding it hard

so I am 27 years old me and my partner are expecting our first baby. We had our 12 week scan a week ago which came back High NT 6mm so had the combined test and bloods came back 1:5 chance of Down’s syndrome. We decided to take further tests (CVS) and are now awaiting results. Prior to the CVS test we had another scan and told that they were very concerned of high fluid the NT had gone up to 7mm and fluid around baby’s lungs.

has anyone experienced this or can help with positivity, we wondered if the fluid will reduce.. well we are praying anyway! Now just to wait for results which is terrifying!

Oh so sorry to hear this, what has happened if you don’t mind me asking?

So sadly we had to go through a surgical abortion at 17 weeks as further scans came back that the baby had Turner’s syndrome with excess fluid on lungs and heart, other organs and the brain also hadn’t developed how it should have. The hospital told us that if we carried on the pregnancy the baby would need surgery straight after birth and would more than likely have disabilities due to the brain development 😔
