Pregnancy symptoms gone - 5 weeks

I am about 5.5 weeks pregnant and have pretty much no symptoms apart from very sore breasts which seemed like they’d got bigger over night.
Today I noticed the soreness had gone off and they seem to have gone back to their original size.
In my previous pregnancy I was bedridden with terrible nausea by this point.
Something feels off this time I think, does anyone think I am right to be concerned?

Without waiting it out, having a scan or having your HCG measured no one can tell. Every pregnancy is different. The one where I had the worse symptoms ended in a loss but the ones where the symptoms were not as severe are the ones which went to plan.

You can test every other day using the same brand and see if the line gets darker but at 5.5 weeks I'm not sure it's going to tell you much, unless the test was really light or negative.

I found in the early days (pre 7 weeks) my symptoms were a bit more off and on, but then everyone and every pregnancy is different

Thanks @ratherbthedevil probably a good thing that I don’t have any tests in at the moment or I’d probably have done a few!
I think I’ll have to wait it out for now, I assume they wouldn’t find much if I had a scan at this early point.

Same happened for me. I'm constantly prodding them. Im now 7.5 weeks and they are slightly sore some days and others they feel normal.

Peanutbutter7 · 15/03/2023 22:19

Thanks @Bellybobs yes I’ve also been doing this! Hopefully it’s normal, wishing you all the best with your journey x

Hi there,

Hope you don't mind me asking, but was everything OK in the end? I'm experiencing the exact same thing, had nipple discomfort up until just over 5 weeks which has disappeared!

Peanutbutter7 · 10/06/2023 06:10

Hi @JeanieH

All good so far, I’m 18 weeks now :)

Hope all goes well with your journey x

Hi @Peanutbutter7 , I’m experiencing the same thing atm. I’m 6w 5days and my boobs aren’t as sore as they have been. I don’t really have any other symptoms. I have had the odd bout of nausea that never lasts long and some cramping but nothing else. Do you think I should be concerned?

Peanutbutter7 · 07/07/2023 22:52

@Hopeful588 my sore boobs seemed to come and go and I didn’t get any other pregnancy symptoms until between 7-8 weeks and the nausea really hit me. Hopefully it’s nothing to be concerned about for you.

Symptoms, or lack thereof, mean absolutely nothing.
Women go through whole pregnancies without experiencing so much as a sore boob, let alone nausea.
Do not be concerned with symptoms. They mean nothing.
Also, most symptoms only really happen from weeks 6/7, so it is perfectly normal to not have any nausea before then, and then start having it once you get to those weeks. But ideally (im only speaking for myself!!) Id rather have zero symptoms throughout!!!

Thanks so much for this! I'm 6 weeks today, had a mmc last year and I'm freaking out about literally anything. My boobs are sore, but other than than and a bit of pack pain, nothing.

thank you @Peanutbutter7 it helps so much getting real life experiences from people. It’s so reassuring!

@readingismycardio I’m a serial googler lol and from what I’ve read it seems normal. A lot of people have little to no symptoms until much later, some don’t have any their entire pregnancy! I read a post where someone said she only realised she was pregnant at 15 weeks. It’s hard not to worry but I’ve started telling myself I need to trust my body. Have faith, eat healthy, and it’ll all work out ♥️

@Hopeful588 ohhhhh I'm a serial googler too!!! Need to stop this shit, it's driving me crazy! Blush may we have healthy pregnancies and bring healthy babies home!
