Hiya, I hope this post doesn't sound daft but i have a work night out to attend tomorrow and I'm 18 weeks pregnant and feel absolutely horrible in all outfits i've tried :(

I'm 5"2 and slim build and this is my second pregnancy so feel bigger than last time. My bump is in the inbetween stage where it's not quite a bump but definitely there and I just don't feel confident in anything.

It doesn't have to be formal/ dressed up but i just want to feel nice and confident enough to go out.

Does anyone have any outfit ideas or remember what they wore to such events when pregnant?

Thanks!

Yes that in-between stage is tricky! I've got a wedding soon and am going for a dress that's fitted around bust/waist and flares out, skims over bump etc. I also quite like a silk maxi skirt and shirt with a belt around waist/above bump. Basically some combination of flowy but with a bit of definition above bump, to emphasize it.

Nice hair / make-up / nails etc., can make you feel better too.

I totally feel your pain! I’m almost 17 weeks with #2 and had a night out last weekend. Found myself just repeatedly going through my wardrobe in a panic! I went for a loose blouse, blazer and trousers that are actually leggings but could have wore maternity jeans. Last time I was pregnant I wore floaty dresses a lot with tights at this stage. It’s so easy to just look fat, I went swimming the other week and wanted to wear a sign saying pregnant not fat 🙈

I'm only 7 weeks, and I already feel like the bunged up digestion and the bloating are already fucking me up! That's before you get to the mega boobs I'm toting around.

And I have two weddings to go to before my first scan - one of them in Greece, ffs!

I feel your pain!

Thank you ladies it's nice to know i'm not the only one feeling like this!!

Looking through my wardrobe earlier and seeing my body after a winter of oversized tracksuits had shocked me a bit 🤣 I was actually debating not going as didn't feel comfortable in anything.

I definitely feel like i look just fat in anyone else's eyes but i can't let that stop me socialising i suppose!!

Thanks for the outfit ideas, i've managed to find some jeans that I wore postpartum from last time that fit me again. Most likely to be paired with a bodysuit and oversized jacket.

Roll on summer for the floaty dresses and recognisable bump!!🙈
