Scan to show fluid/water break

Hi all,
I'm after some advice please. My water broke at 19 weeks but I had a scan at 14 weeks and another at 17 weeks. We knew we were at risk of pre-term labour and I had the scan at 14 weeks because of what I thought was fluid loss. The doctor examined me and deemed everything fine including speculum and cough test and swabs. She put it down to discharge/bath water etc. Then with the 17 week internal scan to measure the cervix, I asked them to check fluid levels and all was ok. The three dr's performing the scan also said all was ok. Does anyone think it could have been missed? I worry I could have been losing it slowly over this time frame and it not have been picked up? Or not seen on the scans. I lost what I thought was discharge on and off but never a consistent leak like a tap (if that makes sense) The dr's say if fluid was lost at 13/14 weeks, it wouldn't have continued. I know I'm torturing myself, I just wonder if anyone has been through anything similar?
Thank you x
