Would you recommend carpet or flooring in a newborn nursery? And if carpet, synthetic or natural fibres? I am reading lots of conflicting advice! Many thanks

What ever you prefer, it doesn’t make much difference

We got carpet when DD was about 7 months. I much preferred it because it was nicer to sit on and play with DD on the floor and when she started crawling. I also think it makes the room cosier in general. That said it was horrible old wooden floorboard before with lots of gaps and dust, so if you have nicer hard flooring then it would probably be fine with a rug or something.

We have a synthetic carpet that's bleach cleanable (that was my one stipulation!) and it's been great so far.
