Hello all,

29 week pregnant tomorrow and seem to have a hiccup-y baby! Have felt their hiccups pretty much every day for a couple of weeks... however today she's had about 2/3 episodes of them, I have called DAU and they said that's quite normal and nothing to worry about but just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same? 🙈 I was worrying a bit!

It’s totally normal, it’s absolutely fine, please try not to worry and stay off Google.

My daughter hiccuped so much! Honestly, probably 7-10 bouts a day. She's 6 months old now and still a very hiccupy baby 😂
A midwife told me it's actually a way that they practice breathing!

Yep my little boy had tonnes of hiccups before he was born!

Thank you everyone! That's very reassuring and @J1290 that's the one! thought it might be star jumps haha!

Yep! My last baby did it lots and was quite a hiccuppy baby/toddler, this baby also likes little burns of hiccups. They're very normal.

Silly question mbut ftm to be here. How can you tell baby is hiccuping?

I feel lots of movement but can't differentiate between kicks, punches, general movement/turns, hiccups etc. no idea what position he's in either.

Nearly 25 weeks 🥰

Hiccups are normally very rhythmic and feel localised to wherever the head is at the time (though your whole bump might move). I've never been able to distinguish them until 28 weeks-ish.
