Anyone else feel like they can stomach a food but then when it's cooked, you can't eat it anymore?

Or were fine eating something a few days ago but then feel like you'll throw up if you eat it now?

I feel like i can't shop in advance because items i thought i wanted, I can no longer eat. 😢

Anyone else?

I feel you, I fancy nothing so I just have to get my partner to stop at the shop every night and get something 🤣 I just eat ready salted crisps, toast and oranges during the day really I find it really hard to fancy anything else, except McDonald’s I can always eat that🤪

Yes I feel exactly like this at the minute. I'm mainly grazing on the blandest food at the minute or sucking mints to try and take the edge off the nausea.

Paintandpots · 12/02/2023 16:40

Pretty much same as you, struggling with food but not due to its state of....if its has been cooked or not. Just generally struggling. Some foods last week i was fine with, now this week are making me want to be sick or actually making me be sick.

The only thing that i can eat without issue are salt and vinegar flavour crisps and fizzy pop. Or those breakfast nutty bars you can buy.

@northernmam So does sucking on boiled sweets take edge of nausea away for long? Im tempted to try it but worried ill knacker my teeth if i get hooked into it for dealing with this all day nausea.

Yep, yesterday I drove like a mad woman to the shops first thing because I needed crumpets for breakfast. This morning, I had crumpets for breakfast and threw them up within 30 seconds of taking the last bite. So now I've managed to eat porridge with a banana in and just had plain burger and chips followed by ready salted crisps. I'm 16 weeks and I'm getting sick of feeling like I've got a constant hangover now!

northernmam · 12/02/2023 17:20

@Paintandpots I'm trying not to think of that at the minute, as finding something that's taking the edge off feeling sick is my priority at the minute 😂

Paintandpots · 12/02/2023 21:42

Fair enough @northernmam , i think i will try and nip out tomorrow and take a a leaf out of your book. Anything for a nausea cure at this point.

Paintandpots · 12/02/2023 21:43

@Butterflies12 has it eased at all for you since getting to 16 weeks? Or is this how it is all the time?

Butterflies12 · 12/02/2023 22:35

@Paintandpots yes the sickness has eased massively as has the nausea. Today was the first time I've physically vomited in weeks but I didn't feel nauseous before and it was literally because I coughed and suddenly my body was like well now you're going to throw up then - pissed me right off tbh.
The tiredness has eased in that some days I feel almost normal but other days, like today, I feel like a zombie who can't move off the sofa. I think today has just been a shit day for me and I'm grumpy but on the whole I'm now getting more good days than bad x
