Pregnant After Miscarriage And Terrified

Hello,

After four days of my period being a no show I plucked up the courage to take some tests.

The HCG strip a line appeared after a minute and I think the second appeared minutes after.

The Clearblue ones I'm not sure how long they took but seeing 2-3 weeks has got me into a bit of a to-do because that's what came up before I miscarried last time, so worried that it's false and I am actively miscarrying again (though no bleeding is occurring). I can smell blood, however and I know that seems weird.

I've also got little symptoms apart from this late period. I've just had bad heartburn and the odd nausea flare up.

I am terrified it'll happen again, more so after seeing this.

Do I add two weeks onto the digital? I can't remember what my last midwife said.

Thanks

Yep add 2 weeks to the digital! Sorry you’re feeling so anxious, pregnancy after loss is really hard xx

Just here to say I can sympathise, OP. I took a test today, just quite randomly after feeling a bit off. It was very positive! Wasn’t even sure if I was late as I hadn’t been tracking. I’ve had 3 back to back miscarriages, the last one being May 2021. This was quite the shock and although I’m obviously excited, I am also just so utterly anxious and terrified of yet another miscarriage.

I’ll keep fingers crossed for both of us. Wishing you all the best x

@ChloeN I thought it was something like that. Last time I found out I was pregnant it was 1-2 weeks and added on 2 but that would have been 3-4 and then before I miscarried a scan revealed I was only measuring five weeks and miscarried when I was ten weeks, so it was very long. Xx

@tuesday2am Sorry to hear you've experienced so many. They're awful no matter how many times they happen.

What is the next step now? Do I book a GP appointment? Wait a bit? I'm not sure what to do.

@Phoenixwings1989 I didn’t do anything until I was 7 weeks, i then just rang the drs who gave me the midwife’s number to self refer! I found it easier to forget I was pregnant in a way so I didn’t get let down xx
