Did anyone with hyperemesis not take medication?

If my child gets a disorder I'd be worried that the medication caused it and there would be no way to prove it

I did take medication but read up a lot before. Safety has actually been tested in pregnant women for several of the medications commonly used - Promethazine/cyclizine being examples. Here’s a useful resource that goes through the medication and research available
