5 week pregnancy cramps

Hi, I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and I’ve literally had cramps since the day I tested positive, they are bearable but really uncomfortable, I had a miscarriage last year so I’m just really nervous about them all, does anyone have the same or got past this point?

For my first pregnancy I had really bad "period" pains around the time my period was due and for a bit after. I was sure my period was about to start but it was fine, carried to full term.
Not sure if it was possibly embryo implanting ??

Hi, I’m in exactly the same boat as you. Coming up to 5 weeks pregnant and have had ‘period’ type cramps since the day I tested positive too. I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages so also worried. My husband remembers me having them with my last pregnancy which was successful but I can’t seem to remember them ever being this bad. Sorry you’re experiencing the same, it’s so hard not to worry. I came on here for reassurance as I’m a nervous wreck!
I hope your cramps stop soon and you end up having a healthy pregnancy 😊

Hey, I have just passed my 6 weeks mark and same as you, have been having cramps daily (not sure if it is in my head?) since BFP. I do worry as I had a MC last year as well. It sounds like it may be normal if so many of us have been having the same symptom?

I turned 5 weeks today and have awful cramps all day.
TMI: did have some discharge with a slight brown tinge too.

Have had two miscarriages in the past, and one healthy pregnancy.. so really worried too.

booked in for a early scan (private) in 10 days, so fingers crossed all is well.

I had a cramps at 4-6 weeks too. I’m now 11 weeks and had a private scan at 9 weeks (as had 2 chemicals so wanted to see it to believe it) and everything was all good then

As far as I’m aware it’s completely normal 😊

I’ve just had my BFP today (yay!) and had a miscarriage last year. I was convinced it’d be negative as I’m so crampy in my lower tummy, like period pains. Reassured to see people are having the same symptoms 😕

Congrats on all of those who’ve just had their BFP and sorry to hear of all the miscarriages 😞
Hopefully it’s all normal as so many of us are experiencing the same.

Hi there, I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and everything has been as well as expected with my pregnancy, think the cramps are all part of the experience and do continue throughout but keep positive and congratulations 🥳

Hello I’m also 35 weeks pregnant now, apparently horrific cramps early on can be normal! Wishing you good luck and hoping your pregnancy continues to progress 😊 I got an early scan at around 7 weeks which helped to reassure me, I’d recommend.

Thank you both for responding and congratulations you must be so excited that you will be soon meeting your little ones ❤️ its my first pregnancy so I question and of course google every little thing. Ive noticed that both of you experienced miscarriages so so sorry to hear it’s my greatest fear right now. Did you notice any differences between the two pregnancies? I am having my first scan this friday very very early as it will be only be 6 weeks and a day but hoping a heartbeat will reassure me!!

My little girl is 2 weeks old today. The cramps were completely normal 💕

No worries at all, glad it’s reassuring. 😊 Good you’re getting an early scan, I hope that reassures you too. I didn’t really notice anything different between the pregnancy that miscarried and this pregnancy, the only difference was that the positive line was stronger in this pregnancy. I’ve been worrying about everything too, people have told me you have no control over anything and that there’s no point in worrying - but it’s easier said than done. I do find google unhelpful a lot though! It always says the worst thing. Good luck for your scan! 🤞🏼 😊
