Weight loss in Pregnancy

So I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and have lost 11lbs since finding out I was pregnant due to nausea and vomiting.
The vomiting is starting to cease but I'm wondering if I'm not eating the same without realising for the fear it will return.
How much weight is too much to lose?
I should note I have a high bmi, so I am overweight but my concern is for the baby not myself.
I've been trying to make healthier choices and snacking but not sure what to do!
My DF made a comment that it's the bodies way of trying to get you healthy for the baby which wasn't helpful at all, but I have wondered if he's right.
Any advice?

You'll be fine. I lost 3st in pregnancy due to sickness and I was a normal weight to start with. I was skin and bones but my baby was fine and weighed 8lb at birth.
Try eating little and often to build up your appetite.

I was slightly underweight to begin with and lost slightly more than you in the first trimester due to sickness. I'm now 3rd trimester and baby is growing fine, and I am also much better in myself.

Exact same thing happened in my last pregnancy, and DC1 was born a very average weight. Baby will take what they need. If you are worried then please speak to a midwife or GP to put your mind at ease.

Sorry you’ve been so unwell @gstv2104 - I lost about the same in the same amount of time (BMI 35 so I def had some to lose). No one seemed that worried. I’m almost 22 weeks (being much less sick these days) and still about 4lbs down (but look like I’ve gained stones!)
