Hello,
has anyone had experience of having the above and what was your birth story? I am so anxious about giving birth as it is . What are the chances of having to have a section or be induced?

I was diagnosed with GD at 26 weeks for fasting numbers. Onto metaformin at 30 weeks and now insulin at 34 again for fasting numbers.
my BMI is also in the high 40s. I have not gained any weight in pregnancy yet.
We have not had a growth scan yet but myself and partner were both big babies as well. So just looking for any experiences with this .
thank you

I had very similar story to you. I was induced at 38+5 due to baby showing big on scans. He was born 3 days later. I had forceps and episiotomy as both mine and his heart rate dropped whilst in labour. He was 7lb14 so pretty average and I had no ongoing issues after birth other than usual recovery

My story is also pretty similar to yours. I stayed on metformin but they decided to induce me at 38 weeks as they thought baby was weighing 9lb at that point. I also ended up with forceps and episiotomy. I did find that quite tough and the recovery from the forceps did take some time for me, but you get through it and you are up and about more quickly than a c-section. My baby was born 8lb 13oz so they were pretty accurate.
