hi it has been 7 weeks since my miscarriage at 7 weeks and still no sign of AF. I’ve taken a few pregnancy tests and got nothing but BFNs. Just wanted to know others peoples experience with how long it took AF to come after a miscarriage? Tia x

So sorry for your loss 💔 been there twice and it’s awful!

Mine were both on the earlier side so I don’t know if that effected things. Mine came back 4 weeks after like a normal cycle. Sorry that’s no help for you. You should contact your GP and see if they can advise. X

I'm sorry for your loss. Currently in the same boat

The midwife said 4-8 weeks to me, currently on week 6. It sucks dealing with the uncertainty, especially if you're trying again.

@NewBabyGirl2020 thank you x

@MamaidhMathMath thank you and sorry for your loss. Have you taken any pregnancy tests yet?

For me it took about 12 weeks I think 😕maybe speak to the GP or early pregnancy unit if you are worried?

It took 8 weeks for mine to return. I got pregnant again on my first cycle after and have a beautiful 2 year old upstairs to show for it.

So sorry for your loss ❤. Sometimes its a waiting game, but I assume you don't have a fever, pain, unusual discharge or other reason to suspect an infection or retained product? Get checked if any concerns though.

This was my experience, but seems everyone is different.
MC at 12 weeks with medical management- bled for 2mths, stopped for 2 weeks then regular AF- but the heaviest I've ever had! Took 3 cycles to normalise
MC at 9 weeks-AF started 5 weeks later and back to regular cycle
MC at 7 week- AF started 4 weeks later and back to regular cycle

I was putting it off but tested after posting and it was negative, so I guess i just wait for the floodgates to reopen.

Took 13/14 weeks for mine after a D&C last Jan - it was really rough during that time, I felt like I was in limbo and couldn’t move forward- hopefully it’ll be a lot shorter for you!
