4 weeks subchronic haematoma bleeding this long?

Hello,

I had a scan today as I thought I was having a miscarriage as I've been bleeding like a period for the last 16 days. By my LMP I would be 7 weeks but the scan found I am much earlier, just under 4 weeks so it's too early to tell if it's viable but it looks as it should at this stage. There was a subchronic haematoma found, have attached a pic to show size, I think in the pic there's the egg at the top and the haematoma is the black shape on the lower left hand side.
Just wanted to ask other people's experiences, is it normal to bleed for so long because of a SH?
Did you go on to have a viable pregnancy after a SH?

I'm finding it a bit strange that if I'm just less than 4 weeks pregnant, then I will have conceived around 2 weeks ago... But I've been bleeding for longer than that? I suppose it could have been ovulation bleeding or cervical errosion (as I also have this) as well as the SH? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had an SCH in my second successful pregnancy. I didn't bleed for that long but for a few days around 4, 8 and 12 weeks each. DS was early, I've no idea if this was connected or not though. DH and MIL were also both prem so possibly not. He's a perfectly healthy 9yo now. Hope this helps and that all goes well for you xx

I bled for 6 days when I was just around 4 weeks pregnant. Then I had weekly heavy bleeds for another 4 weeks after which the hematoma seemed to have resolved itself. I'm 19 weeks now. Hope all goes well for you!

Thank you for the replies that is reassuring to hear.
I have freaked myself out this morning though, I did a clearblue Digital which came back saying 3+ weeks, which means I would be 5+ weeks pregnant. However at my scan yesterday they said I was just less than 4 weeks. So now I'm worried something is wrong, and that the egg has stopped developing 😔 has anyone else had this?

I didn't use that kind of pregnancy test but the 3+ weeks seems to match the scan timings, so hope all is OK for you. I'm not sure if the tests date from conception or last period?

@SuzyQ12 the test is from conception so when it says 3+ it actually means 5+ pregnant. I should have made my title clearer 🙈 so I was worried as my scan showed me as being less than 4. I'm trying not to stress though, I've got another scan next week so should know then if things are developing as they should be 🤞
