Morning sickness before a positive test?

Since Monday I have woke up feeling very sicky and it last a few hours and then goes. But today I’ve woke up and as soon as I’ve moved I’ve been sick 4 times before I left the house. I did a digital test and it was negative. is it possible to have morning sickness weeks/days before testing positive on a pregnancy test?

It's very unlikely as it is the pregnancy hormones that cause morning sickness and they have to be pretty high to do this, much higher than a test needs to be positive.

I was vomiting days before I got a positive test 3 times. It is absolutely possible.

Yep felt nausea a full week before i was due a period..
tested on tuesday 3 days before period was due and it was negative.
Was hot and having weird dreams
then tested faint postive on the friday the day i was due a period.... shes now five.
this one is a girl and didnt expect a postive at all no prior symptoms but here we are 28 weeks!

Nausea was what made me test with dc2 because it felt just like morning sickness - and turned out it was (& then I was so ill the whole pregnancy). The test was positive straight away though.

In both my pregnancies I was being sick over a week before I could test. Everyone’s bodies are different and mines really sensitive to those early hormones.

I felt horrific with gas, bloating and nausea from 7DPO. Tested negative at 9DPO then positive at 10DPO on a FRER. I've never felt as consistently awful as I did in those days before the positive test.

Another bfn 11dpo & my temp looks like its slowly dropping. Don't know what's been causing my sickness, been throwing up after eating n it's exactly like my morning sickness with dc1 weird.

I didn't get morning sickness but I had a distinct feeling, can't describe it but it's happened with all 3 pregnancies, always happens once period is missed tho

Ember90 · 22/01/2023 07:41

Yes definitely possible. I was vomiting before my positive which I had on the first day of my missed period

Mol1628 · 22/01/2023 07:43

I had sickness and vomiting both times very early but I had HG so extra sensitive to the hormones so yes it can happen

I was being sick before my tests came up positive.

Loads of other reasons for feeling sick though.

Yes,i had implantation bleeding on Monday, nausea started on Tuesday. Period due on Friday and positive test on Saturday.

BabyB2022 · 22/01/2023 13:37

Yes, I've had morning sickness for almost a week before my positive pregnancy test each time!

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/01/2023 14:52

Yes! I’ve only been sick once in my whole pregnancy and it was before I tested positive.
