Hi all,

im not worried at all as had no other negative symptoms at all and I got checked at the maternity assessment unit on Friday 5th (last Friday) but I’m a size 16/18, higher BMI and I have an anterior placenta. I’d say I feel my baby boy move at least once a day but I’m never really sure as he’s my first 🤣. I keep reading “be worried, Call the midwife asap if no movement” but then when I get checked they tell me it’s more than likely my placenta placement & my added abdominal fat that’s causing me to not feel as much. I totally accept that but doesn’t help my anxiety that at each appt I have the fear there’s no heartbeat and I’m so attached to my lil squish!

anyone else who feels minimal movement at this point and hoping it gets better/more movement? I’m fed up calling my midwife and feel like a total pain in the a*se now! I’m sure he’s absotootley fine but my goodness no one warned me about the health anxiety pregnancy brings!! I know I’ll give birth to a happy baby boy in April 😊

Don't you worry, that time will come. I was like you and then one night I was lying on the sofa with my belly out, and baby decided to stretch. My tummy literally stretched sideways A LOT. The head was poking out one side and two clear feet on the other. And it hurt! Too much stretching! I was laughing though.😁

If you buy a 2nd hand doctors stethoscope on ebay, you can put it to your tummy & listen to the heartbeat at any time. This is what I did and it was fun.
