Threatened misscariage?

Hi all I recently found out I’m pregnant with my 5th child. I’m still in the process of deciding what I’m going to do. I track my periods so I know for certain I’m only 5 weeks. However, since the day I took the test every single day I’ve had spotting (I’m fully aware this can be normal and every pregnancy is different but I have NEVER experienced it like this before). I’ve had about two days where it was a decent amount of brown discharge again I’ve never experienced this in all my pregnancies. I’m not in pain, although I do feel a little uncomfortable. It was starting to feel a little abnormal and a quick search on the NHS site says that continued spotting and or bleeding and brown discharge can indicate a threatened miscarriage.
Does anyone have any experience in this and can advise me?

Hiya, I spotted brown blood from day of period onwards with all my miscarriages. And I spotted a lot of brown blood with my ectopic as well. I’d definitely give your EPAU a call to see if they can book you in for an early scan to make sure everything’s in the right place.

I did spot only slightly with my healthy pregnancy but always after sex 😅

Thank you for your reply! That’s really interesting. I have been fortunate enough to never have experienced one but something about this just doesn’t feel quite right if you know what I mean. I also had very slight spotting with my other 4, all only lasting a few hours maximum so this is defo something new to me. i really appreciate your reply, thank you xx
