Tw spotting 20 weeks pregnant

Has anyone had spotting 20 weeks pregnant or around then and everything been fine? Im going on day 3 very light spotting mixed in with mucus. Pelvic exam checked out. Don't have an ultrasound for a few days.

Mine was a bit later but I had spotting at 25 and 26 weeks (which caused me to massively panic). They examined me and couldn't find a cause and everything was OK. I'm now 34 weeks and had no further spotting since 26 weeks and everything still going well. Good luck x

Hey! If it makes you feel better Iv been spotting pretty much every 4 weeks for the entire pregnancy (now 19 weeks) it’s pretty much when I’m period would have been. No body even wants to see me or seem
concerned in the slightest when i have called the midwife. They are so chilled about it I think it just is a lot more common than we are lead to believe. As long as it doesn’t get heavier or with clots hopefully nothing to worry about 🙂

Yes I had bleeding at about 22 weeks and again a few weeks later. Terrifying but thankfully all fine with baby. I booked a private scan as the hosp would only check for heartbeat. They wouldn't give me a reason but most likely irritation to the cervix

I can't remember exactly how far a long I was... but I did have some bleeding through my first pregnancy. Mine was just one day; but it totally freaked me out to. Everything was all fine though. Happy healthy one year old. If you continue to worry no harm in calling the midwives. X

I had spotting the day before my early gender scan, so 16/17 weeks. Everything was absolutely fine and I've never had it again. It was alarming though as you never expect it after the first trimester!

Hi @Anxiousmess2023, I know this thread is now a year old, but I was wondering how things turned out for you? All positive, I hope! I'm 20 weeks and spotting and also quite worried. Had ultrasound and cervix check this week and they didn't find anything worrying.

Hi @pipippabg, the thread is only a few weeks old. Im currently 23 weeks now and still have spotting and now one bleed. I've had two ultrasounds now and several checks. All still well theyre chalking it down too friable cervix. Which is an irritated cervix. Baby so far looks fine and my placenta does as well. How r u?

Sorry @Anxiousmess2023 , my head is still in 2022, so presumed it was from the beginning of last year! I'm sorry to hear you're still experiencing the spotting, but glad all scans seem good. I haven't had any spotting since Thursday morning. How frequently do you get it?

I get it almost everyday. Usually following a bowel movement.

I had a small bleed on Sunday evening, reddy/pink. Rang the maternity unit and they didn't seem worried and told to ring back if it got bright red and heavier. Thankfully, it didn't.

The person on the phone asked if I had thrush symptoms and funnily enough I'd been diagnosed with thrush the week before. Apparently that can sometimes can cause irritation and a little bleeding. It could be that thats causing it for me or it could be something else!

Baby movements are reassuring me he's okay, but it's so unsettling to see blood.

Hey lovely! I’ve just seen this thread. I’m also constantly spotting sometimes fresh red some days brown. I too was thinking these tend to arrive around when my period would be due. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant but have has this since 8 weeks.
