(Preparing to) TTC #1 at 39+ years - anyone else

So I’m finally in a position where I feel ready for a baby. I’m 39 turning 40 in a few months so it might not happen quickly (or at all), but my partner and I want to start trying next month. Anyone else who’s trying to start a family in their late 30s/early 40s and wants to keep company while TTC?

Hi, just wondered how you are getting on, I’m 39 turning 40 next week and ttc with my first! Really trying to keep positive that we can have a child. But it’s hard to not worry when you read so much about fertility and age 🙈

@SushiAndSkittles Thank you and congratulations! 😁 I’m currently in the two week wait 🙈 think I’m around 4DPO. On our 4th cycle of trying. I know (if at all) it will probably take longer due to my age. But I’m still hoping :) x

Hi @Lenab still trying here. Think I’m out this month again :( I swear since I’ve started ttc my period has just been doing all sorts of misleading things. Fooling me into thinking I might get a bfp. 🙈 Af is due any time now so will have to wait to start all over again. This will be my 7th cycle of trying I think! X
