Morning sickness just gone?

Hi

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. Can't work it out properly since I didn't have a proper period before hand as I'd come off the back to back pill and got pregnant straight away, so bit of a shock. This is my second pregnancy and I didn't find out with my first until 7 weeks and symptoms started after I found out.

On 1/1 I started with what I thought to be morning sickness, 2/1 - 4/1 I couldn't keep water down let alone food. I was quite run down as my 21 month old was waking at 1am for 3 nights so we just kept them in our bed since I tried settling in their room but to no avail 🙄. Anyway...

I started feeling slightly better later on the 4th and yesterday (5th) I bought travel sickness bands as they worked well in my first pregnancy. Today (6th) I felt slightly nauseous this morning but no sickness and not (9am) I feel absolutely fine. I've managed to have a coffee which I've not managed to even think about for days.

Am I panicking for no reason, maybe it could be a bug? Is it worth taking a test? I have no other symptoms of anything that could be going wrong, no bleeding/cramps ect... I can't speak to anyone about it cos no one knows and my mum would just say I'm being stupid.

Call your GP if you are genuinely worried something is up, but in both my pregnancies that progressed well my sickness came and went pretty randomly before settling and staying between weeks 9 and 20.

Sympathy also as I have a kid the same age and the nighttime teething is really something!

5 weeks is pretty early for morning sickness anyway so you’ll probably find it comes back (worse!) in a week or 2. In my second pregnancy I didn’t get proper symptoms until 7 or 8 weeks. Definitely try to get an early scan if you’re worried though.

Thanks guys. I started feeling sick again about 2 hours posting but no actual sick. I rung GP Tuesday as was worried about dehydration. I'm hoping it's just down to tiredness. Got a full 9 hours last night so that has probably helped.

Really hoping my sickness isn't as bad as last time, I used to take my laptop to the bathroom at home to work cos it was so bad 😂

I’m currently 13 weeks, I felt so nauseous almost immediately after finding out I was pregnant and have been so sick up until now really. I woke up one day around 6 weeks and felt fine, no sickness or nausea and managed to clean the whole house. My husband started to worry thinking the worst, I woke up the next day and it was back! I wish I would of known to enjoy it whilst it lasted! 😂 it’s strange how it can just disappear though!
