Is growth slowing down at 28 weeks?

Hello,
Just went for my routine 28 weeks appointment with the midwife and after plotting my tape measure figure (see pic), she was umming and arring whether to send me for a growth scan as she couldn’t decide whether the growth looks like it’s dipped.

Apparently they expect the growth to follow the second line from the bottom.

What do you think??

Due to potential excess fluid (also majorly worrying me) I am due to have a scan although haven’t been contacted in the last week to arrange yet- my worst case scenario anxious mind it worried that growth slowing + excess fluid = major problems.

In case it makes any difference, I have a ‘low BMI’ and am 5ft8 and slim build.

Thanks so much!

I wouldn't worry, babies don't tend to follow an exact line and that is pretty close to the other dot, also measuring with tape measure isn't very accurate.

It doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong. Every time my bump got measured it was either too small or too big - which varied from appointment to appointment. I got sent for 3 additional scans during my pregnancy purely from measuring "obscurely".

It was all fine; baby is a perfectly healthy little boy who is now 17 months.

All they want to do is check your baby is okay. So try not to worry until you're given something to worry about!
