Ladies - I was helping my partner earlier put some volterol onto his wrist (I didn’t realise I wasn’t allowed to touch it until I read the packaging after!!!) I’m 32 weeks pregnant… will this harm baby?

The only reason I’m asking is because of the ingredients within the cream and I know ibruprofen can close over baby’s heart passage so naturally worried.

No one can tell you for sure. But I would think it would be unlikely that you'd absorb enough ibuprofen from an accidental topical exposure to affect the baby's ductus arteriosus. After all, it often doesn't work when given directly to a neonate to deliberately try to close a patent duct. But definitely don't do it again, as repeated exposure would probably be higher risk.

Thank you, I’m extremely worried as I didn’t know about diclofenac sodium… I feel like an idiot!! A little bit ended up on my lip as I had to open the tube and it popped but I wiped it off I don’t think I’m ingested any! This month has been the worst for me in luck🙁
