Come on ladies let me know what you're upto. Right now I'm so nauseous and sick I've not been able to do much. But once I know what you guys are doing maybe I'll get a kick up the backside. Have you declutter? Bought clothes and other things for baby? Decorated? Been anywhere? Are you counting down the days?

When are you due? Do you have other children? I hope you feel better soon.
I’m 12w with DC2. Trying to ensure DC1 is cared for. That’s basically it. New bathroom booked in for new year. Redecorating hallway. I think we’ll have move stuff around at some point to fit DC2 in. Planning on buying a buggy board (DC1 will be 23mo) and a carrier but nothing else except a few clothes. Today we put the tree up.

Before my first, I did all my ironing. Got through the mountains I usually leave in the corner of unironed shirts and sheets.

pregnant with number two now, but too tired to do anything much.

I'm currently 7 weeks with my first so just trying to battle not feeling nauseous the same as you at the moment in all honestly. I couldn't even think about doing any of that yet until this passes, just trying to look after myself 😊

Just had my first baby (14 weeks ago). My husband was deployed for the whole pregnancy and came home on compassionate leave because I had really severe pre eclampsia. They managed to let me go home for 5 days before my induction to 'nest'.

My mum, dad and sister came over to help me and husband and we:

-Deep spring cleaned the house
-Set up the cot in baby's room
-Got his clothes ready
-Re packed my hospital bag 😂
-Did a food shop for frozen stuff
-Bought the last bits that I'd been too poorly to do anything about (steriliser, breast pump and pads, nappies, wipes-I'd originally had a stash of reusable nappies)
-Sorted out our dog for her stay with my parents.

I'm pregnant with my second now, my tips are:

  • go out for dinner/drinks whatever in the evening with your partner A LOT! Until you're totally sick of it
  • ditto lie ins
  • go around your house and oil any creaky doors, especially your bedroom and the baby's room. There's nothing like finally getting baby to sleep, creeping out, then CREEEAAAK the bloody door wakes them up
  • At dawn, look around your bedroom and baby's bedroom and make sure they are DARK! won't matter in the winter but in the summer if your curtains/blinds whatever don't block out ALL the light, they'll be up at the crack of dawn, and believe me you don't want to start the day at 4:30!!

Go out with your friends individually & try to build your credit! Friendships are neglected when babies arrive especially in the first six months.

Ditto what is said above about going out with your significant other as much as you can.

Go to cafés and enjoy a hot coffee in peace.

Clean the house if you must!
