12 weeks skin blotchy & itchy

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and over the last few days have noticed the skin on my face, mainly around my mouth and chin, becoming a little red and blotchy. Today it’s started to feel dry and itchy. I’m on a cocktail of meds, which I’ve been on for a while as this is an IVF pregnancy, so it’s hard to know if this could be the cause. Has anyone experienced this on progesterone, steroids or blood thinners?

Yes, pregnancy caused my skin to go like this too. By the time I gave birth my face was quite shocking to look at in all honesty. It was during the height of pandemic so I didn't bother to seek my GP for help, if it keeps getting worse I'd go to your GP to see if they can help with it. I was also on blood thinners, but it didn't happen in subsequent pregnancy so I put it down to the pregnancy itself not the medication

I’ve never experienced this before. Wondered if it could be down to reducing progesterone and oestrogen. But it doesn’t seem hormonal, it seems more like eczema so that’s why I thought possible reaction to other meds, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Maybe chat with clinic and midwife on Monday.
