I feel like badger notes causes more anxiety

Hi all!!
Does anybody else find that Badger notes causes more anxiety?

I had my 12 week scan just over a week ago, and had really screening done for different conditions - they told me that if everything was ok, the results would be uploaded to badger notes within a week.

Today I am expecting a phone call from a consultant, so whilst I'm waiting I checked badger notes - I've noticed that there's a note on there (put in on Monday) stating that a letter has been sent to me and an appointment has been made for when I'm 23 weeks, at the placenta clinic.

I have no idea why this appointment has been made, but what I do know is I wish everything wasn't on badger notes as now I'm full of anxiety for this phone call and letter 🤷‍♀️ - with my first it was just paper notes and I preferred it so much more 🙈

It's a terrible app. I stopped looking at mine because they rarely updated it, but when they did they didn't seem to understand what/why it was updated.
There's parts only the doctors can see but they didn't understand what I could and couldn't see so I'd get told off for not doing X when they never even mentioned it to me.

It also didn't remove cancelled appointments so when the midwife cancelled her appointments (I only managed to see a midwife twice at my GP surgery despite having a high risk pregnancy) the consultant didn't believe I hadn't been seen because badger said I had.

It glitches all the time and I gave up deleting and reinstalling and just stopped using it.

I had paper notes with my first baby (different hospital) and it was so much better.

That’s not very helpful information! Hopefully the consultant phone call will help.

Did they mention anything about your placenta at the scan? The only think of is if your placenta is low lying they’ll need to check further in the pregnancy about whether it’s blocking the baby’s exit.

Badger notes is crap. 33 weeks and had it about a fortnight, I don’t think it’s ever been updated with anything meaningful! I have had consultant appointments, midwife appointments, growth scans and a GTT test in the last 2 weeks and there is absolutely nothing on there.

It's pretty crap and relies on manual uploading of info - my trisomy screening results arent back 3 weeks later!

Are you sure they said they'd call in a week if trisomy screen was all okay? My healthboard calls within a week if it's not okay, and takes ages to send a letter if it is okay. Though there is also the mail strikes in Scotland which are delaying post.

It's rubbish. Nothing gets updated on mine. Other than booking in appt notes. Nothing has ever been filled out on mine. No notes on various appts I've been to, no updates on results. I don't see the point of it tbh. I miss the green folder

I think it depends on your midwife/health board. I've had 3 midwives so far (changed surgery and then 2nd midwife moved away) and the first and third midwives have been great at uploading results and appointments. I've also had to have extra growth scans and the health board has uploaded the growth charts straight away.

Hi everyone I’m 4 weeks 4 days pregant I found out a couple days ago I signed up to badger notes and I referred myself to it.. i was wondering how long does it take for a midwife to get back as I have filled out the form on there to .

Lauren199108 · 03/07/2023 10:14

I am 11 weeks not heard when my appointment is yet on badger app they said they’re running behind at 12+ 6 days but should I not have an appointment yet ? Should this come up on badger apps ? Thanks

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 03/07/2023 10:19

It's crap, I have nothing on it. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and my screening results aren't on there. My 12 week scan itself isn't on there. Thankfully, I got a letter through weeks ago with the test results. I went for my 16 week appointment and the midwife asked how I was finding it. I told her there was nothing on it to use! She was shocked at how little info was on it and how out of date it was.

I've also had the whole 'you should have bought X' convo. I simply show them my phone with the app open and ask them to point the info out to me. They have never have been able to.
