Is my bump to big for 12 weeks?

This is my second pregnancy, my son was born just over a year ago but I feel like I am huge at 12 weeks already,

Is this normal?

Some people have said there's no way it can be a bump at 12 weeks.

I had a bigger bump the second time around too, I think because our bodies have stretched before? I'm sure there's some science behind it...

Congratulations!

@Season0fTheWitch thank you!
I did think this! Xx

Hi OP. It's probably a lot of bloating. But yes as pp said with your second you tend to be bigger earlier. Don't worry about it.

My first bump was modest and second was huge 🤭 just rock it 🤘🏼

Oh god, I had someone ask me when I was due last week (at 11 weeks). I’m huge this time around. Maybe it’s twins (we have them in the family) but most likely bloat.

@Spacebears @peanutandpumkin thank you! Puts my mind at ease Grin

@PurBal Omg congratulations lovely! I feel the exact same and it's so round and hard 🤣 I bet you can't wait for the scan to know for sure! Xx

When I was 11 weeks with DC 4 I literally couldn't hide it as I had a proper bump! It's totally normal to pop sooner after your first x

cymb · 28/11/2022 19:01

@LavenderAndBluebells thank you! It really does make me feel better! I've literally been super sick too so I'm like 100% it's a bump as I'm barely eating 🤣xx

@cymb only a week left to go. Have you had your scan yet?

cymb · 28/11/2022 19:54

@PurBal my scans on the 6th! Feels like forever I did have one when I was 7 weeks tbo! 😘 is this your first scan? X

Mines on the 6th too. Yes, first. I’ve moved trust since my last pregnancy and they only do evening appointments, no idea how I’m going to stay awake!

IncessantNameChanger · 28/11/2022 21:22

I was bigger second time too, but don't worry it's got not reflection on how big you will be full term. I looked about five months at full term with my first and fourth.

HarryBlaster · 28/11/2022 21:22

I’m now worried as my first was huge 😱

cymb · 28/11/2022 21:49

@PurBal oh no! That's such a shame I couldn't imagine waiting till the evening... I'm super impatient!! Xx

@cymb the whole thing has actually been quite upsetting. I had to announce my pregnancy “early” because I couldn’t get evening childcare without imposing on MIL who lives over an hour away. 16mo DS is pretty good but he’s not gone down to sleep for anyone except me, DH, DM and DMIL. I was told that if I couldn’t come in the evening I could decline the scan. Not really an option (I know some people choose not to have scans but that’s not my wish).

im also 12 weeks and pregnant with my second child my stomach is a bit bigger then yours I feel like I’m 4-5 months .
it is known with your second you show a lot me. It’s nice to see someone showing as much of me I felt so alone lol x
