Hey ladies, just that really. I'm really really struggling, all day everyday I feel so sick all the time and am being sick loads. I'm on. Cyclizine which does nothing, 11 weeks today have had it since 5 it's really really getting me down I just want to cry. Obviously I will take this for a healthy baby. Just wondering when I may get reprieve x

Interested in answers! I am 12 weeks tomorrow and it's still quite bad. I've heard anecdotally that often it improves a bit after 12 weeks, and quite a lot after 14 weeks, with it being mostly gone by 16 weeks, but then you have lots of people where it continued for much longer! So just have to hope we aren't in that latter group...

Hooverphobe · 28/11/2022 12:55

About an hour after the c-section. Sorry!

Blaggingit123 · 28/11/2022 13:01

Maybe try another medication? I came off meds at 20 weeks with my second (managed without for first) but continued to feel sick, have no appetite and struggle to eat most things until immediately after I gave birth. The meds I ended up taking stopped me being sick for the most part but I mostly managed it by eating mostly toast, eggs, bagels and fizzy drinks. The first thing you eat afterwards will be the tastiest thing ever …

Gradually got better from around 13-14 weeks and felt absolutely fine then til the birth. Fingers crossed you start to feel better soon, it's horrible having constant nausea!

Todaynotalways · 28/11/2022 13:03

I really noticed an improvement at 15 weeks. Which I guess is when the placenta took over feeding the baby.

After that I'd get the odd wave of nausea, but nothing like the first 15 weeks.

blitzen · 28/11/2022 13:03

I've been turning a corner with it for the last couple of weeks, thank goodness. I'm about 15 weeks now.

lollyloo88 · 28/11/2022 13:12

I'm my last pregnancy I felt back to normal at 16 weeks but I'm pretty sure it gradually wore off a couple of weeks before that point.
I am 10 weeks pregnant and completely feeling the same OP, it's soul destroying in some ways, it's not just the physical feeling but it's the lack of joy in anything you put in your mouth, brushing teeth is harder and it makes you miserable. I'm struggling to clean and get things done so I know how you feel xx here's to Christmas and hopefully feeling better! 🤞

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/11/2022 13:13

Immediately after giving birth.

MadeForThis · 28/11/2022 13:19

14 weeks both times.

SleepWouldBeADream · 28/11/2022 13:23

About 13 weeks first pregnancy and 16 weeks second. Hang in there, morning sickness is the worst but when it finally lifts I was able to enjoy my pregnancy.

elepants · 28/11/2022 13:26

Mine tends to ease around 20-25 weeks. Honestly if cyclizine isn't doing it for you, go back to the gp and get something else. I had horrendous HG in my first pregnancy because I didn't know there were options for managing it, this time I've been pushier about medication and it's made such a difference. Ondansetron was what ended up doing it for me, but I tried a couple of others first. The pregnancy sickness website has a list of medications and other advice.

Shlomping1234 · 28/11/2022 13:29

All the way through pregnancy on both my dd's.

Boooooot · 28/11/2022 13:32

About a week after he was born.

bellinisurge · 28/11/2022 13:35

I was hospitalised with it. It got slightly easier after about 22 weeks and went completely about an hour after dd was born.

4yearsandwaiting · 28/11/2022 13:38

Both pregnancies as soon as I'd given birth.

lilroo87 · 28/11/2022 13:41

With my first it started around week 6 and stopped around week 14. With this pregnancy it didn't start until week 10 and then went on until about week 16.
I think it was delayed starting because I was breastfeeding my DD and then when she stopped I think all my hormones went a bit mad so the sickness started.

Esssa · 28/11/2022 13:42

16 weeks first pregnancy, 15 weeks this time.

Moosh18 · 28/11/2022 14:11

Thanks everyone for replying, sorry to all those that felt so bad :( it's really really hard

@lollyloo88 I think that's my main thing, I feel like I am falling behind on everything, house feels a mess, I am doing the bare minimum at work and I'm just really struggling to take enjoyment in anything! This baby is so so wanted so obviously I am glad I feel like this in some ways, but I just want to stay in bed most days... unfortunately I can't!

WildCherryBlossom · 28/11/2022 14:14

I only had bad morning sickness in one pregnancy and it eased after 15 weeks.

Moosh18 · 28/11/2022 14:15

@WildCherryBlossom yeah 15 seems to be the norm! I have a toddler which I had bad sickness with, but it was during lockdown! Furloughed and no toddler made it a lot easier to cope! I can't really remember when it stopped but I think I felt better totally by 20, I'm much sicker this time though :(

Currently 29 weeks and still experiencing it. First pregnancy it stopped around 12-14 weeks.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 28/11/2022 15:39

In my last pregnancy - the day that DS was evicted at 39+3.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with #2 right now and it's just started to ease up enough for me to take the anti-emetics on an as-needed basis. Still feel like shit though.

TallulahBetty · 28/11/2022 15:55

When I gave birth. Sorry OP.

Moosh18 · 28/11/2022 15:57

Oh gosh I don't know how you all coped all the way through! So much respect for you all
