Glucose in urine 13 weeks

Hi everyone

I'm just over 13 weeks and have had crippling headaches and generally feel crap for the past 4-5 weeks.

Saw Dr today who prescribed migraine medication and dipped my urine and I've been sent for an urgent glucose test in morning after fasting due to high amount of glucose in my urine.

I'm so worried it's gestation diabetes, I didn't know you could even develop it this early.

Has anyone else been in the same boat?

I had glucose in my urine twice in each of my pregnancy's, was tested for GD and I was negative.
They only normally refer you when you've had it twice though and it's not normally classed as urgent.

I had gd diagnosed when I was 12 weeks pregnant with dd.

I went on insulin straight away.

I'm classed as having a high risk pregnancy due to recurrent miscarriages and my headaches with blurred vision in conjunction with being thirsty and dodgy urine result has probably prompted them to do it urgently, which I'm grateful for as I feel like chopping my head off.

Thank you for sharing. Hope I don't have it but if I do, maybe I'll start to feel better on right meds and diet.

It depends on how high your fasting sugar is.

I was on insulin straight away because of how high my fasting and post drink sugars were.

I was so careful with food for the rest of the pregnancy and was carb and dairy free from 28 weeks after the insulin going up wasn't stopping my sugars sky rocketing.

My dd was 11lb 4 and I had her at 38 weeks.
