Could I be pregnant?

I take microgynon 30 and didn't miss any pills in my last pack. However when I took my week break from the pills I didn't get any bleeding until day 8 (when I started new pack). I usually get a withdrawal bleed 3 days into the break. Also the bleeding was a lot different to my norm. Usually I get quite progressive heavy bleeding for 5-7 days. This time all I got was faint pinkness on the toilet paper when I wiped on day 8 and on day 9 I got a tiny amount of blood on my pad and just more pinkness when wiping. No actual flow of blood.

And that was the end of it just those two days and I've had nothing else since???

I was did start taking antibiotics 2 days before my 7 day break. But I had taken more than the 21 pills in the pack anyway (probably an extra 3 days before I took break)

But basically ever since the 2 days of tiny amount of blood I did have I've been feeling nauseous at times, a mix of diarrhoea and constipation, occasionally dizzy and lots of cramping and awful back and hip pain. 2 days after the light bleeding stopped I took a test and another the next day and both come back negative. So could I be pregnant or am I just paranoid?

Do a pregnancy test, it's the only way to know.

I have done two of them but they both said negative. Could they be wrong?

Very unlikely to be wrong, Alex but if you still have doubts, speak to your doctor.

Withdrawal bleeds can vary if someone has been unwell or has other life changes; you were on antibiotics.

If you're sexually active, even if not very often, the answer to "could I be pregnant?" is always YES.

If you didn’t miss any pills and pregnancy tests are negative this long after you expected your bleed then I think it’s extremely unlikely. More likely your withdrawal bleed just had a bit of a glitch. You could be a bit paranoid - understandably - I think it’s the same if you are TTC or actively avoiding it, if you think you could be pregnant you start to notice all kinds of bizarre symptoms, whether you are pregnant or not - I’ve been there!
