Brown discharge good outcome?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had brown discharge in early pregnancy and everything has being fine? I had a Mc in august which started out the same; brown discharge for 2 weeks and on the that I had an early scan and all was fine and the discharge started again and I miscarried then.

I am now 6+3 and have had brown discharge from last Friday. I had a scan in the EPU on Monday which showed a heartbeat and she said hopefully it all settles down and it's started again 😔 I am terrified I will lose this one too. My first pregnancy was successful with no complications whatsoever in 2020!

Anyone had the same and has had a positive outcome? 🙏🤞🏻

Hey lovely. So I'm currently 9 weeks, since 6 weeks on and off I've had brown spotting, and one huge red bleed, two scans show baby is perfect, I have an ech which they found yesterday it's basically a small area of bruising away from baby which causes bleeding, before I knew what it was my midwife kept saying not to worry about brown as it's old blood, I'm on a thread on here and loads of us have had spotting or bleeding around 6 weeks and everyone's baby's thank goodness have been fine! Xx

@Moosh18 oh I remember talking to you in another thread, glad everything is ok for you! 😁 I don't know whether to ring the EPU or not as I was only in there on Monday 🙈 the worrying is intense! x

@Daniki just give them a call? They'll advise? They've told me not to worry if bleeding starts again but I'll deffo be going back if it does! I'm still getting brown.

Like you I had a Mc in June, spotting went for a scan, all okay, spotting started again went back and we lost baby, so not much gives comfort to me at min as I'm sure it goes my you x

*as I'm sure it doesn't for you x

@Moosh18 yea the same for me, won’t stop worrying until the baby is born 🤣 I rang them there and they just said not to worry about brown spotting so 🤷‍♀️ Will just have to try and be positive and hope I don’t get any pink spotting or bleeding x

Yes, I had this at about the same point. It was scary but the baby was fine. They thought it was maybe late implantation bleeding. Fingers crossed for you.

@caffelattetogo aw great news! Trying to be positive all will be fine 💗

First pregnancy I had no spotting and a healthy baby. Next pregnancy I had brown spotting and a MMC at 10 weeks, then brown spotting in the following pregnancy and a miscarriage around 8 weeks. I then got pregnant again and had no spotting and a healthy baby. So for me, it seems, that any spotting is a bad sign but then lots of other people have it and all is well. It's so stressful, hope you're doing ok and keeping everything crossed.
