Just looking for other peoples experiences please. I am pregnant with my third child (unplanned but happy news) and there's a 10 year gap between this baby and my youngest. How did you find pregnancy? Did your body forget? How did your other children find things? Not sure what to expect

Hi, I am 19 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby. My youngest are twins who are 17 and my eldest is 19. All 3 are happy and excited to be having a new little sister.
I am 40 now and I'm finding my pregnancy pretty great so far. My eldest was a very easy pregnancy and birth, 2nd were twins and I can't compare to a singleton pregnancy, twin pregnancy and birth were awful for me, I'm
Very small and I think my body really struggled with the twins but fine with a single baby. I was very tired in the first 3 months and suffered a little with sickness but from 12 weeks so this little one has been a dream so far, fingers crossed she stays that way :)
Congratulations and best of luck to you. I know loads of families who have 10 plus age gaps and never been a problem

Hi, 33+3 weeks with number 3 here....eldest 17 and youngest 12. Apart from tiredness (because I'm older/more physical job etc) and back ache (had sciatica anyway) I'm finding it pretty easy atm.
Having older kids who can help with chores has been a god send and they're definitely looking forward to it, my eldest has already bought the baby Christmas presents and can't wait to baby sit! Younger one has commandeered my yoga ball and said he'll rock the baby on it! My husbands sons are older and fathers themselves so just find it funny that their dad is going back into sleepless nights and nappies after nearly 3 decades but again very supportive and looking forward to meeting their new half sibling.

I don't remember my 2 being this active in pregnancy nor how breathless I am but this baby is already the size of my first when she was born so that may be why (growth scans due to sga) I also feel that the midwife care has changed hugely since having them. I've only seen a midwife 3 times so far whereas with the others I'd seen them monthly up until 30 weeks then fortnightly.

Hope your pregnancy continues to go smoothly x

Exactly the gap I had with unexpected No.3. Took eldest Dd who was 12 a bit of time to come round and she was distinctly unimpressed for some time.
I had to go back to work so juggling that alo g with school drop offs and activities, and child care was the biggest challenge.

All 3 of mine were sections and dc3s was by far the best.

It certainly wasn't easy but DS now benefits from older big sisters who let him crash at their house and are teaching him to drive.

I'm currently 16 weeks with number 3 my eldest is 12 and youngest turned 10 in September they are both so excited and happy and have been wanting a younger sibling for a while. The pregnancy has been fine just felt a lot more tired which I'm sure is because of being older but other than that's it's been easier than my other pregnancies so far fingers crossed it stays that way I haven't had any sickness or anything like that and baby seems to be doing well on scans we have had x

Thank you all. Think it's been so long that it feels like the first time again! Just nervous in a way
