When did you start buying baby things?

Just that really, I’m 12 weeks this weekend and starting to think about when I’ll start buying things for the baby.
A friend told me she got some great Black Friday deals last year, I’ll be around 16 weeks then and DH thinks that’s still too early to get anything.
It’s our first baby and pretty clueless when to start, I’m quite organised in general so I think that’s why I’m getting the urge to make sure it’s all sorted early.

Thanks for all the responses, I think I’ll start looking at things from 16 weeks and wait until after 20 weeks to actually do the buying. Might order a babygro or 2 in the mean time. Thanks again x

I bought a few bits after 12 weeks, mostly little things on sale and bargains and a few things on marketplace. I will hopefully be 22/23 weeks come black friday and will look at bigger items then and the plan is to leave clothing and little items for post christmas sales. Thst way spreading the cost. I dont wsnt to leave it too late as ftm so want everything to ve organised in its place before and can see if we would need additional furniture/storage solutions etc.

We waited until 24 wks when the baby had more chance of being viable. Now 30wks and planning to buy a few of the big ticket items during Black Friday.
