Really bad underarm pain one side 22 weeks

Over the past 4 days or so I’ve had a really painful left armpit. I’ve tried to feel and can’t feel any lumps etc, my fiancé had a feel too and said he couldn’t feel anything but it is so so so painful and tender, it hurts to reach/lift but it is only on one side.

I had googled it and saw that underarm pain seems to be a symptom of breast milk coming in but it is literally right in my armpit which seems a weird place for it to be? It’s also only on my left side. I’m seeing my midwife next week so I could ask her to check it but it is literally so painful to touch even when I’m getting dressed/showering, it feels like poking a bruise even if I touch it slightly.

Has anyone else had anything similar and what did it turn out to be?

I've never heard of this as a pregnancy symptoms, it may be a cyst or ingrown hair? Probably worth getting it checked

juat to put your mind at ease though, I am only 6 weeks pregnant and have terrible armpit pain. I used to get it at certain times of my cycle as well. I had it checked and my GP wasn’t concerned it just seems to be a symptom of hormone changes in our bodies.

My pain is in both armpits usually and feels sore. I am so used to it now though from getting the pain once a month prior to getting pregnant.
