Early pregnancy severe cramping , no bleeding

Hi, this is my 5th pregnancy (I’ve got 2 children and have had 2 miscarriages ). I’m very early days somewhere between 4-5 weeks. Yesterday I started getting the normal pregnancy / period cramps. However they’ve continued for 24+ plus now continuously / not intermittent. Feels like period pains but worse (all down lower back and thighs etc). When I’ve had miscarriage previously it’s always started with bleeding and then cramps. Has anyone else had this? Thank you x

Hey @Dani00 hope you’re feeling okay! I’m afraid it’s just one of those things that time will tell. Really annoyingly all of the normal signs of pregnancy can also be signs of miscarriage so it’s a guessing game most of the time! Hoping this pregnancy sticks for you and it’s a good outcome. You can also contact your midwife to see if they can do an early scan on you or pay private. But I believe it’s not totally accurate pre 7 weeks. Wishing you lots of luck x

Hey @SassyPants87 thanks for your reply. I agree , this time is always so nerve wracking. It’s too early for the mw to see me yet but gp has contacted epu (I’ve been for scans there from 5 weeks before ). So waiting to hear back now.

@Dani00 thats fab that GP has been on it for you! I actually had bleeding throughout my first trimester with DD which was so scary! But just ended up being an unexplained thing and she was was born absolutely healthy. Fingers crossed for you xx

I would definitely contact EPU for severe pain with leg pain - they will want to rule out ectopic
