Spotting 4 weeks pregnant

Hi everyone I got a 2-3 weeks yesterday on a digi at 13dpo then this morning at 14dpo a dye stealer on a frer, however everytime I wipe I have brown spotting I’m terrified after a chemical last month and 3 previous early loses, do you think the tests being so strong is a good thing and should put my mind at rest? I’ve phoned the epu still waiting for them to call me back x

Cassieb83 so sorry to hear about your previous losses and the spotting, which I imagine is incredibly stressful. That is a seriously strong line and the spotting may be completely normal, particularly if it isn’t bright red or clotted etc. But at this stage all I think you can do is wait for EPAU so that beta hcg bloods can be done to check that hcg is increasing. Your tests certainly support and I think just do your best to look after yourself and chase EPAU again. Sending lots of love and thinking of you xx

@Cassieb83 Unfortunately I think it’s a wait and see type of situation. I know you’re asking for reassurance and everything might be ok, but it also might not be.

Speaking from experience, I had brown spotting shorty after I found out I was pregnant in August. I wasn’t too concerned at first as my test lines were strong at that point and getting stronger. The spotting also wasn’t often and went away after a couple of days. However, after a few days of no spotting, it returned. I tried not to panic as tests were still progressing. The spotting became more frequent though and one morning, turned pink. Within an hour, that turned to bright red and my miscarriage began. My test lines remained dark until 2 days after the heavy bleeding and were negative a couple days after that.

I can offer a bit more positivity though… I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks after my red bleeding in August began. Unfortunately, two days after that, I had bright red spotting. I was of course terrified that I was miscarrying again. But, the red bleeding was only once or twice when wiping and then there was also pink/brown spotting for a couple days. The EPU agreed to scan me in 3 weeks time, if I was still testing positive. The wait was agonising but I was able to see a healthy baby, measuring 5-6 weeks, with strong heartbeat.

@Fran919 thankfully it stopped that day I’ve had no more I’m currently 6 weeks 3 days had an early scan yesterday and see a good strong heartbeat 😍 they said I’m only measuring 5 1/2 weeks though but Im not too worried now going to book another scan for 8 weeks xx
