Has anybody else had bleeding during early pregnancy?

Hi all!
I am 6 weeks & 6 days pregnant with #2, for 4 days I’ve had bleeding on and off, it’s usually browny pink, however I’ve noticed if I’m super active/go walking a lot etc (I don’t drive) - it goes red!! But I have no pain, I called the GP and EPU, they didn’t seem overly concerned as I’m having no pains and said it could be endometriosis related - I also spotted with my first baby, but not as much, so I think I’m just a bit more panicky this time.
Anyway,
I booked a private scan just to settle my nerves/get an answer as to if baby is okay - and all is fine! Nice strong heartbeat and measuring as expected. My ovaries and everything else seem fine too!
I asked the ladies there what could the spotting be and they also mentioned endometriosis or irritated cervix.

just curious if anybody else has had this happen? And how did you stop yourself panicking 🤦‍♀️
also - had a MC earlier this year so I think seeing the blood/spotting has freaked me out a lot.

thanks xx

Yes I had this. A bit of spotting and then the odd mini gush which made me think “this is it”. I had a scan at 6wks and all was fine, continued for a couple more of weeks after that too then tailed off. All good, he’s now 6!

I’m glad that you were able to get checked. Maybe book a few scans ahead of time throughout the pregnancy, that you can cancel if you find that all is well over several weeks and your anxiety is settling down? In your situation, I’d definitely feel better knowing that I only had {x} weeks until I could be reassured again that all was well.

My mum bled all through her pregnancy with my younger DSis. It was extremely stressful for her - some of the bleeds were like a full-on period. She was on bed rest for several weeks (which was a more common approach back then to all sorts of pregnancy concerns. I think the evidence is pretty mixed on whether it helps). All this to say - bleeding is terribly anxiety-inducing, but isn’t always a sign of disaster. My DSis is 26 and is babysitting my DCs as I type this. :-)

Good luck! 🤞🤞

Yes. I have four and only with two of them. One at 14 weeks and one at 6 weeks. I was convinced I was loosing my 4th at 6 weeks, but it never progressed to heavier bleeding. And the scan revealed he was safe and well.

all the luck in the world 🍀 it’s very scary xx

Tonnes of first and second trimester bleeding in two successful pregnancies, with clots larger than the foetus at the time. It is often bad news, but not always.

I had it with DS1

It was a sub-chorionic haematoma. They are relatively common, and most resolve over a few weeks

I had a bright red gush at around 10 weeks, then red spotting daily for weeks, which gradually went brown (which means old blood) and it had generally stopped by 16 weeks

I was told that being mobile was fine but absolutely no heavy exercise or running, and definitely no sex because the cervix is open and it’s an infection risk.

Yes I did with my 2nd. Only at the beginning and happened to fall when my period would have been due. Stopped by 2nd tri from memory. Glad all is OK with baby.

I had this as well from 4 weeks to 16 weeks. Due in the next couple of weeks and baby is doing just fine so far. It was very scary at the time and mentally very draining so I'd just say be gentle with yourself.
