do you think this is a really strong bfp for 11dpo? Twins maybe I don’t know I’ve never had a line this strong

It's pretty strong but HCG varies pregnancy to pregnancy. Also ovulation isn't an exact science so may not be exactly 11dpo!

Bluey18 · 14/10/2022 15:07

Had similar with my son. Only one baby. Had horrendous sickness that pregnancy though.

Cassieb83 · 14/10/2022 16:00

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl I only Dtd once this month the day of my peak opk as dh has been really ill, so I could of only ovulated the day after which makes me 11dpo x

@Bluey18 oh really bless you that must of been hard with bad sickness, when did your sickness start I feel absolutely fine no tender breasts no sickness just abit of a cold right now, I thought I would have some sickness with my line being so strong x

It started the day before I turned 6 weeks. Not saying that you will get sickness, I hope you don't, but I think that explained why it was a strong line so early in my case, I clearly had lots of pregnancy hormones haha xx

B1993 · 15/10/2022 09:13

This is mine at 10DPO which looks similar to yours. I've had an early scan and they only found one baby! I'd say your hCG looks to be in the normal range. 😊

Congratulations! 🥳

Kayycatt · 16/10/2022 00:26

congrats! amazing line there.

I did my test at around 15dpo and I can just see the line... hmm... will test again next week and hoping the line will be as strong as yours!

Cassieb83 · 16/10/2022 07:58

congratulations @Kayycatt wishing you all the best!.. i just got 2-3 on digi this morning 13dpo I’m wondering if it could be twins? My uncle and auntie are twins on my mothers side x

Hi! Congratulations - I seem to have had a similar 11DPO line to you and by far the strongest I’ve ever had with a pregnancy (pic1) At 14DPO I’m hoping this is edging towards a dye stealer but not sure (pic2)
however, clear blue digital yesterday still had me at 1-2 weeks so not convinced my hcg can be that high? It’s all just so very confusing isn it?!

@Cassieb83 twins! Is this your first? I would love twins myself. It's my first and I am 39 already, so just want to get it over done with. Wink

Cassieb83 · 16/10/2022 11:45

@Texasholdem20 hi ya, they are really good lines congratulations!… I think people normally get the 2-3 weeks after 14dpo from what I’ve seen on most peoples so is all normal and yes it’s very confusing lol going to have an early scan I think xxx

hi @Kayycatt this will be my 5th, I’m already blessed with 4 children and I’m also 39 had 3 chemicals this year I think was due to my age so really appreciate these strong lines lol xxx

@Texasholdem20 The FRER tests are super sensitive (6mui), the clear blue digitals need 25mui so aren't as sensitive, which is why you'll have only got 1-2 weeks.

I had a 6+1 week scan recently and they only picked up on one baby, despite me getting a BFP at 10DPO and a dye stealer at 14DPO (might have even had one before but didn't test with FRER).

I think the early strong lines are more to do with early implantation, personally. That's not to say twins aren't a possibility but also dark lines do not mean that they are a definite thing either.

Here are my two tests:

@Cassieb83 aww blessed with four already. Hope this one goes well for you too.

@B1993 interesting to see your strong lines at 14 dpo. I am starting to think my implantation may have happened a lot later than I previously suspected. I am not going to test until I am a week late, hopefully that will give me a more definitive result.

Aliceinwonderland5 · 16/10/2022 14:10

I had a very very strong line that came up almost instantly at 13dpo, but the clearblue weeks indicator was correct in the weeks.
I had a scan at 8 weeks and it is twins. I think you never know!

Texasholdem20 · 16/10/2022 15:52

Thanks for sharing your tests - hope your scan went well?
Yes completely agree re: twins etc. More just after 2 early losses where I visibly noted light test fading further, hopeful that the darker lines mean rising and good levels of hcg - I’ve never had anything more than a 1-2 weeks on clearblue digi which bore out with super low beta hcg bloods. Just grasping any hope really!

TimeforZeroes · 16/10/2022 15:55

1-2 weeks on a digi is the same as 3-4 weeks post menstruation so that’s really good OP.

Cassieb83 · 16/10/2022 16:51

@TimeforZeroes hi ya I got 2-3 weeks today at 13dpo, I got 1-2 weeks at 11dpo I didn’t test with a digi at 12dpo xx

@Texasholdem20 I was measuring behind at 5-6 weeks but I know I was 6+1. I got my first postive at 8DPO with cheap strip test so know I couldn't have been less that 6 weeks or I'd be testing postive the day I ovulated... impossible! Other than that, there was a strong heartbeat so confirmed as a viable pregnancy. It's come after a loss in august and bleeding a couple of weeks ago, so over all, feeling relieved! 😅

Have you considered booking an early scan? I'd try giving your EPAU a call as they may be willing to scan you, especially if you explain you've had previous losses and need reassurance. Wishing you lots of sticky baby dust 💕

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 16/10/2022 17:06

@B1993 - EPU will typically only offer scans if something medically seems to be wrong/suspicious. They also are reluctant to scan under 6-7 weeks unless they are concerns about ectopic

Thank you for this - really helps. So sorry for your loss in August and wishing you the very best for this rainbow baby ❤️ My EPAU have already agreed to scan bang on 6 weeks as I’ve had back to back miscarriages in February and August this year - but the 2 weeks waiting for that seems like a lifetime of anxiety!

My EPAU have said they want to scan at 6 weeks give two previous back to back MCs. My fertility consultant also wants me to be scanned between 6-7 due to use of progesterone pessaries. Can I ask why concern over ectopic might delay when they scan? Hadn’t hear this before x

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 16/10/2022 17:28

@Texasholdem20 it'll be different area to area, in my healthboard if the fertility clinic or recurrent miscarriage clinic were asking for you to be scanned, they would do it with their ultrasound equipment. The EPU/EPAU will only scan if they are concerned about your pregnancy (bleeding, severe pain etc). They typically only offer this from 6-7 weeks as before then it can be hard to see anything and just raise anxiety, not answer Q's really about whether or not things will continue.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear - in my area ?ectopic is the only time they would typically offer scans before 6-7 weeks, to check the pregnancy isn't in tubes or of unknown location. So worries about ectopic means they'd do it sooner not later.

I think your lines look good for your stage, and I hope it all continues to go well for you and 6 week scan looks good (remember you may or may not see a heartbeat at this stage). I'm glad they are offering you this given your previous experience
