Early labour...period type pains?

Looking for people's experiences of the days coming up to labour starting. I'm 38+5, first baby, no mucous plug and no waters going or other signs of labour. But the past 3/4 evenings I've been getting very mild period type pains, not enough to stop me or limit me, but just very dull pains deep down as if they were period pain...anyone else experience this before labour? Well aware it could still be a couple of weeks away 🤣 but I can hope it'll be sooner!

Probably just braxton hicks- your body is preparing the real thing. If they were the real deal they would only get worse and not come and go. Good luck!

Agree with pp - I’m 40+4 and been having those since 39 weeks. Still no baby!

Oooh shame! Hope baby comes soon!
I'm bored of waiting now and I've still got a week until due date 🤣

@ZEWatson Me too! I was so convinced she was coming early too yet here I am lol. Fingers crossed not much longer for us both - I’m so over being pregnant!

I started getting those around 2 weeks before and it got more intense up until the day. Your body is gearing up. Could mean baby is coming imminently or just soon.

I got these the day before I went into labour, but then I had a four day labour 😅 baby will be here so soon whether it's tomorrow or a few weeks from now! Best of luck and enjoy this special pre baby time x

Sounds like braxton hicks, I started getting this a lot in the few days leading up to the start of labour! Sounds like you are getting close now :)
