Second baby, 20 weeks and no kicks

Hello- can anyone reassure me? Haven't felt this baby kick yet, ever though I felt kicks at 18 weeks with my first, and I thought your second was supposed to be earlier!
Has anyone else had this? Don't have my scan for another ten days and feeling a bit worried

Hi OP I’m currently 25 + 5 and only felt my baby move at around 21 weeks? I have an anterior placenta which has been cushioning some of the movements. I wouldn’t worry too much (know that’s easier said than done) as I think they generally say if by 24 weeks if you haven’t felt any movements to contact the midwife. Best of luck for your scan, sure it will all be fine!

I was going to suggest anterior placenta, too. Do you know where yours is?

I had only felt tiny movements which I could easily have missed by then. Scan at 20 weeks showed my placenta at the front was cushioning them. Didn’t get stronger or more regular until 23/24 weeks ish. Try not to worry, it can be very normal and just the position of baby/placenta

This is my 3rd and I felt the others a lot earlier

Oh thanks, that's reassuring. I had assumed that everything I had with the first would just happen sooner with the second, but I guess that isn't always the case!

I felt all of mine at 16 weeks. Well, the first little flutters.

I'm sure it is fine, from what others have said. But I do think it would be worth anyhow getting them to check everything - if you have an anterior placenta that would be worth knowing. If you're 20 weeks, I guess maybe you have had your 18/20 week scan and all was ok? Or maybe not had yet?

I dont think i was feeling kicks at 20 weeks with either of my two.

DS1 Was more like 24/25 weeks
Am pregnant now and I felt flutters from about 16 weeks but no big solid kicks till a bit later.

I didn't feel anything at all with any of my 3 until about 21 weeks!
