Pregnant on the copper coil/IUD

Hi!

I've just found out I'm pregnant on the copper coil 😫

I know contraception isn't 100% but did not expect this at all, wasn't planning to have any just yet hence the coil as my LG only jus turned 19 months!

Anyone else been or in my position?!

Assuming this is just a positive test? However you're feeling you need to get checked over to find out where the pregnancy is and where the coil is. Both ectopic pregnancy and implanted coils can be really dangerous.

(Its probably fine, but you do need to know)

It is a difficult situation..... but as you are aware it definitely can happen.

No1 is you need to go to the doctor and get the coil removed asap

That is not a bad gap. DD1 was 10 months when I got pregnant again.

my third and last was 16 months after the second and with an iud in place. the iud was removed asap with no complications and i went on to have a healthy pregnancy. 3 under 3.
