Bleeding with pain 8 weeks pregnant

Help! I am 8 weeks pregnant and on Sunday night i went toilet and when i wiped there was bright red blood i wore a pad but no blood dripped. I thought that was it. Then the next day when i went toilet blood started dripping down and i started getting mild pains like period pains. Rang docs and they have booked me in for a scan. Today the pain was so much and i was bleeding loads on the pad I thought thats it i am miscarrying but the pain stopped after a few hours and so did the bleeding. When i wipe there is blood but i am not leaking anymore or in pain. I dont know if i have passed it out as everytime i went toilet i was looking down to see if anything comes out like a tissue but nothing. I have already had a miscarriage before and i knew it passed as a big blob came out into the toilet! Since last week all my pregnancy symptoms stopped completely went away and now this has happened. Has this happened to anyone else? Pregnancy symptoms gone, bled but had a successful ending?

Unfortunately only the scan will be able to give you a definitive answer. It's good that they have booked you one. Some people have bleeding and it's fine (I had a little but not as much as you), some have the opposite outcome.

When did they book you a scan for? Hope it's soon as the waiting is the worst!

My scan is in 2 days but i have no hope. This may be the 3rd miscarriage. What was your outcome? I’m just feeling confused why the pain and bleeding has stopped but nothing had passed. Last MC it started off brown then got heavier until i passed the tissue but this time it started off bright red blood on and off. I guess only time will tell.

I've had both outcomes. Two miscarriages and one with heavy bleeding but successful pregnancy. But I didn't get pain with it, obviously that's not a good sign. Is the pain one sided? Could it be ectopic? I'm sorry you're going through this again. If it is another miscarriage, you can push for testing. It's awful you have to have 3 before they'll do it.

Ah, mine was painful cramps coming and going then stopped completely after a few hours. Looks like its ending negatively by the sounds of it :(. I did go for a scan when i was 5 weeks and they saw the sac and yolk but it was too early to see anything else.
i took asprin for my last pregnancy and it was successful i dont know if it was the aspirin or just luck on my side.

At around the same time as you during one of my pregnancies I experienced similar. I had what felt like period pain, cramps, ache across my lower back, blood and clots. The baby was fine and they didn’t really find a cause for it. I hope you get a positive outcome.

That’s amazing and i hope i get this news but i have lost all symptoms since last week. Whilst you were going through that traumatic experience did you still have pregnancy symptoms?

No, I lost the symptoms too. I went to my early pregnancy scan fully believing I had lost it. I remember preparing myself for the news, crying before I went. I was in total shock when they said it was fine and showed me the screen. I hope you get a good outcome too.

been bleeding more today and passed a massive clot dark red in colour, aches in my back, not looking good at all. Will find out tomorrow at 8am 😔

update: i went for my scan and it showed nothing meaning i already passed it at home without knowing. 😔
bleeding and aches have lessened.
