6+1 No Yolk Sac

Went for scan this morning (6+1). Two gestational sacs visible but no yolk sac. Has this happened anyone else? Booked in again on Friday but my mind is going 90...

I am in the same situation now at 5w 2d - no yolk sac and going for another scan next week.

Unfortunately not, but huge difference between 5 +2 and 6+1. Everything crossed for you 🤞

I had this happen. Unfortunately, it was not good news for me. At 6 weeks there's only a very slight chance that a yolk sac will appear.

I'm sorry to hear this, I had a similar experience in July. I had a scan at 7+5 but was measuring 5+3. They could see yolk sac but no fetal pole or embryo. I didn't want medical management but they booked me in for a scan in 2 weeks to see if anything had changed and I started miscarrying in that time... this type of miscarriage is called a blighted ovum or an anembyonic pregnancy. I'm currently pregnant again 7+2 and have a scan on Monday, obviously very nervous that the same thing is going to happen again. Sending you lots of love xxx
