2nd hand moses basket - reusing mattress, covers and sheets

Hello,

My friend might be giving me her moses basket that she used a few years ago. Which we are happy about as means one less expense for us and seems a shame to waste a perfectly good moses basket

My question is about the mattress/ covers and sheets. She said that she has a mattress, 2 mattress covers, 2 waterproof sheets and then normal cot sheets

My question is what should we buy new and what should we reuse.

I know that babies should have new mattresses but what about the mattress covers/water proof sheets and sheets

Always a new mattress. The rest is fine to wash and reuse.

We bought a new mattress but everything else was reused.

There's lots of different sizes of Moses basket mattresses! But Amazon has them all 😊

You can use a normal pillowcase instead of sheets!
