5 weeks pregnant no symptoms

Hi all

Can anyone reassure me that it's normal not to have any symptoms of pregnancy at 5 weeks? I've had the odd twinge in the boobs but barely tender, some minor cramping and acne galore on my chin but other than that I don't feel particularly pregnant. Im not exhausted or nauseas.

I had a loss in May and had symptoms right from when I tested then. I think the loss is making me terrified this time around. Also on progesterone for this pregnancy which I know is good but can't help worrying that it's covering up that I've already lost.

In summary - my head is a mess! Any reassurance very very welcome x

This was me! Fast forward to the end of week 6, lm now a dizzy queasy mess.

Bobduncan · 06/09/2022 21:47

Completely normal! I'm nearly 12 weeks and other than being utterly exhausted (which probably started at 7 or 8 weeks), I've had no symptoms. I was constantly worried something was wrong, but my little wriggler on my scan today says otherwise! Best of luck for your pregnancy xxx

My symptoms started the day I turned 7 weeks, we only found out the day before anyway

FirstTimeTryer93 · 06/09/2022 21:49

I wouldn't worry too much darl. My symptoms didn't kick off till about week 5 and were gone by week 8. 12 weeks now and the only symptoms I have are tiredness and sensitive breasts. I've heard alot of people say that symptoms just come and go. You could always book an early scan for reassurance, we got one done at Window to the Womb at 8 weeks, was lush to see its little heart beating 🥰 xxx

Nothing for me until 7 weeks to the day - then the tiredness and sickness really hit me.

38 weeks here and been fine and symptomless throughout. It’s easy to worry about everything at the beginning :) xx

Hello! I am really sorry you had a loss in May. I can completely relate to how you are feeling and I think it’s totally normal to feel how you are. To give some reassurance I had every symptom under the sun in my first pregnancy from before my missed period. This time I am just over 7 weeks and I had nothing until about 6 weeks 4 days. I am now wishing I enjoyed the days of no symptoms a bit more!!

LeafHunter · 06/09/2022 21:57

Currently 25 weeks but I had nothing until about 10 weeks unless I exercised a lot (ie 10km run I ached after!) I also cried a lot! Nothing else though.

I’m exactly the same. 5+2 and no symptoms. Occasional sore boobs but only if I poke and prod, some cramps that feel like at cramps but that’s it.
I had 3 mcs before dc2 so petrified this won’t work out.
I’m also on progesterone and think I vaguely remember reading somewhere it can mask pregnancy symptoms so that could be a factor? Or it’s just we’re too early?
Are you going to book an early scan?

Hi @Laro23 sorry to hear about your previous loss. Totally understand your worry - I'm in a very similar position to you and @2bm!

Had an early loss at around 6 weeks last September, not even a whiff of a BFP until a year later, hardly any symptoms (boobs are very occasionally a bit tender but not all the time), 4+5 so a little behind you guys and also on progesterone! I've booked an early scan for 6+4
